Junior

As many of you know, Tom with Goldspot Luxury Gifts gave away quite a few Pelikano Junior pens recently, and I am one of the happy recipients. The Pelikano Junior is a smaller version of the Pelikano and is marketed towards school-aged children. It is a first fountain pen, a learnwriter or a schreiblernfuller. They come in a colorful box that contains the pen, an extra long cartridge and labels for properly identifying whose pen it is.

Tom also sent along some sample cartridges of Private Reserve DC Supershow Blue and Velvet Black, so I opted to try the Supershow blue first. I like it. It has a nice "electric" quality to it.

The Pelikano cap has no clip and has a triangular rubber grip for properly holding it while writing. It also has a medium nib that allows the ink to flow out smooth as chocolate milk. I really love the size of the pen. It is also a strong pen. I have already dropped it cap down three or four times and it is unfazed.

One feature that I like about the barrel is the contour. It is both functionally and aethestically pleasing to me. I tried to capture it with a couple of shots.

Overall, the Pelikano Junior is a great little fountain pen that should hold up to a lot of abuse. I think that this makes it a great pen for a child who is just learning to write, or for someone like me who keeps dropping it. Thanks again Tom. Nr

Please Bear With Me

Hello everyone. I want to apologize for the lack of reviews lately. As much as I would love to publish a post everyday, or even more, I have to prioritize. Many of you realize that commitments sometimes take precedence over hobbies, and lately I have had more than my share of commitments. I'm not complaining because I have no reason to. I just have more important things to take care of. Family, of course, comes first. I work full-time and go to school full-time. Last week I took on a small computer repair job that has turned into a full out data recovery mission. (I'm still kicking myself for that one) I promise that once things slow down I will get some reviews up and I should have some new products coming in to try out. Thanks for being so patient and understanding. I do want to leave you with a link that was sent to me from thinkmore. I know everyone will like it and I hope to see some comments about it on their blog. So here it is... Hemmant Jha's Essential Travel Kit Nr
